Boughing, 9th October 1865.
I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of this date, wherein you request me to give you an exact statement of what took place between myself and the Admiralty Agent, W. Worldridge, when I handed over first of the Mail of bringing the P. & O. S. S. "Ottinger" in the 18th ult. last, which, according to your request, I beg to do as far as my memory will allow me, and which is as follows.
At what hour, to the best of your recollection, did Mr. Worldridge take the first portion of the Mail?
I believe it was about half past one.
